California and Las Vegas
I just got back from a short vacation in California and Las Vegas. I spent a lot of time with my cousins, something I don’t get to do all that often. My cousin that lives in California has spent the last half decade trying to convince me to move to California, and in all honesty, besides my natural connection to New York and the Northeast (friends, family, job, roots, familiarity), there are very few reasons I can give him for not wanting to move there. The weather is beautiful. The atmosphere is laid back. The people are nice. I could use some California weather right now.
The vacation was quite relaxing. We bowled, watched Superman (and Cars), watched a lot of World Cup Soccer, and went to Las Vegas. Here is what I have brought back from my trip:
- I am a terrible bowler.
- Superman is an overrated movie.
- Cars is an excellent movie.
- Evidenced by point number 3, Pixar makes great movies.
- California is a great place to live.
- The TV show 24 isn’t as realistic as I had first thought it was.
I have about a week to relax and get myself organized and ready for work. I am excited to start… Here’s to the real world.
