Hello! I’m Raaid (I pronounce it Ra-yeed, there is no “h” sound). I spend most of my time with friends and family, supporting entrepreneurs, eating (delicious, not necessarily fancy) food, reading, writing, thinking, and investing. I find happiness in learning, teaching, and solving really difficult problems. I also enjoy watching movies, playing games and sports (poker, fantasy sports, Ultimate Frisbee), telling stories, and trying to understand what motivates people.
Developing meaningful relationships, continuous personal growth, and the pursuit of wisdom are my life’s work. The scientific method, human cognition, and decision-making fascinate me so I direct much of my personal and professional curiosity towards pursuing understanding in these subjects. Practically, this has led me to a career spanning experience in investing, consumer behavior, data science, and organizational leadership.

I am an experienced investor and operator with over two decades of overlapping work across data, product, and strategy. Having built and led teams at global platforms and backed companies across sectors, I bring both the pattern recognition of an investor and the hands-on expertise of an operator. I help growth-stage companies scale faster and smarter by guiding leaders, shaping product strategy, and building the systems that drive sustainable growth. I currently serve as the Head of Data at Headway.co, supporting the mission to make mental healthcare more affordable.
In my past professional life, I worked on Wall Street during the financial crisis and in Silicon Valley startups during the rise of Google and Facebook. I won’t bore you with my professional journey here, but you can read all about it on LinkedIn.
